Walliee

Walliee FAQs

Questions, answered. Everything below matches what you'll find in the app.

Getting Started

What is Walliee?

Walliee is an organisation app for parents, guardians and caregivers. It helps you log and keep track of everyday care for your children and pets, including feeding, sleep, nappies, growth, medication and milestones, in one shared place. It also lets you coordinate that care with other people in your household.

Walliee is not a medical device and does not provide medical, veterinary or professional advice. It is designed for personal organisation and record-keeping.

How do I create an account?

You can sign up with an email address and password, or continue with Google or Apple. After signing up, you will be asked to verify your email using a 6-digit code sent to your inbox before you can continue.

What happens after I sign up?

Once your email is verified, you will be asked how you would like to use Walliee. If you are setting up care for a child, you will name your household and add your first child's details. You can also skip this and just explore the community area, or join a household you have been invited to.

You are not limited to the child you add during setup. You can add more children, or pets, at any time from within the app.

Can I track more than one child?

Yes. You can add as many children as you need to a household, each with their own tracking history, growth chart and dashboard.

Can I use Walliee for a pet as well as a child?

Yes. A household can include both children and pets. Pet tracking currently covers cats and dogs, with activity, feeding, medication and vet or grooming appointment logging.

Does Walliee work offline?

Yes. Logging feeds, sleep, nappies and other activity all works without an internet connection. A recent window of history is kept on your device so you can still look back while offline. For full history, statistics and exports you'll need a connection, and everything syncs automatically once you're back online.

Tracking Your Child

What can I track for my child?

Bottle feeding, breastfeeding, pumping, solids, sleep, nappies and potty training, temperature, growth (weight, height and head circumference), medication, vaccinations, developmental milestones, symptoms and observations, daily care routines such as bathing and nail trimming, and activities like tummy time and story time.

Can I add my own custom entries?

For many tracking types, yes. You can add your own custom medications, vaccines, foods, milestones, observations and care-routine items alongside the built-in ones, so the app reflects what you actually use rather than a fixed list.

How does temperature tracking work?

You log a reading and the app highlights it if it reaches fever range (37.5°C / 99.5°F or above), so it is easy to spot at a glance. This is intended to help you keep your own records. Always follow the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional if you are concerned about your child's temperature.

Temperature is never limited by plan. Your full temperature history is available on Free and Premium alike.

Is there guidance on nappy contents, like colour or texture?

Yes. When logging a nappy or potty entry, you can select from a colour and texture guide with plain-language descriptions. If something you select is generally considered worth a closer look, the app will show you a short explanation. This is general reference information, not a diagnosis. Contact a healthcare professional if you are concerned.

Does growth tracking show percentile charts?

Yes. Growth entries (weight, height and head circumference) are plotted against the WHO Child Growth Standards, covering birth to five years, so you can see how your child's measurements compare over time. This is intended as a general guide. Every child grows differently, and a healthcare professional is best placed to advise on any concerns.

Like temperature, growth is never limited by plan. Your child's full growth history is available whether you're on Free or Premium.

Can I keep a record of my child's vaccinations?

Yes. You can log vaccinations with the date given, and add your own custom entries for anything that isn't in the built-in list. For the recommended schedule and timing, always check with your healthcare provider or local health authority. Walliee is a record-keeping tool, not a source of medical guidance.

Where can I see past entries, and can I edit them?

Each tracking type has its own history, which you can browse month by month. You can edit or delete any entry from there, useful if you logged something by mistake or want to add more detail after the fact.

On the Free plan you can look back over the last 7 days. Premium opens up your full history, however far back it goes. Nothing is ever deleted in the meantime, so upgrading later brings all of it back into view.

Tracking Your Pet

What can I track for my pet?

Feeding, medication, activities, and appointments (vet visits and grooming). Pet tracking is currently available for cats and dogs.

Can I add my own pet medications or activity types?

Yes, you can add your own custom medications and activity types for your pet, in addition to the presets.

Household & Caregivers

What is a household?

A household is the group that your children and pets belong to. It has a name you choose, and one primary caregiver who owns it. You can belong to more than one household, for example if you help care for a grandchild as well as your own children.

How do I invite someone else to help with care?

From your household, go to Manage Circle and choose Invite Member. This generates an invite link that you share with the person yourself, whether that's a partner, family member, nanny, or anyone else who helps with day-to-day care. Once they open the link and accept, they can start logging and viewing activity for the children or pets you've shared with them.

The Free plan includes one caregiver invite. Premium raises that to 50, which is what you want if grandparents, a childminder and a dog walker are all involved. The limit is only checked when you send an invitation, so nobody ever loses access they already have.

Invitation links expire 48 hours after they're created. If yours runs out, just send a new one.

I was sent an invitation link but it isn't working

Invitation links expire 48 hours after they're created. Ask the household owner to send you a new one, and make sure you're signed in to your own account before opening the link.

What can a caregiver see and do?

With Premium, you choose which children or pets a caregiver can access and exactly what they're allowed to do, for example logging feeds or sleep, viewing statistics, or managing reminders. Access is set individually for each child or pet rather than applying to your whole household, so a grandparent can log sleep and see the calendar without ever touching medication records.

On the Free plan, caregivers get a basic level of access instead. Per-child and per-feature control is a Premium feature.

Can I see who logged an entry?

Yes. History and activity views show which caregiver logged each entry, so it's easy to see who did what.

Can I remove a caregiver's access?

Yes, at any time. As the household owner or an admin, you can remove a caregiver's access to a child or pet, or remove them from the household entirely, from the caregiver management screen.

If I remove a caregiver, what happens to the entries they logged?

Nothing is deleted. Every entry they logged stays in the household's history. Removing someone's access only stops them logging or viewing going forward.

What happens if the household owner deletes their account?

The household owner deleting their account starts the same 30-day recovery period as any account deletion. Before it goes ahead, they're offered the chance to hand the household over to another admin, so it and all its records carry on under a new owner. If they don't hand it over, all caregivers lose access to that household once the 30 days are up.

Only a Household Admin can be handed a household, so if you're an ordinary caregiver and you'd rather the household didn't disappear, ask the owner to make you an admin while they still can. Our account deletion page walks through the whole process.

Events & Reminders

How do reminders work?

You can set a reminder for almost anything trackable in Walliee, such as a feed, a dose of medication or an appointment, either as a one-off or on a repeating schedule. Reminders are scheduled on your device and shown as notifications at the times you choose.

Will I always receive my reminders on time?

Reminders are provided for convenience, but delivery can be affected by things outside our control, such as your device settings, notification permissions, connectivity, and how your phone's operating system manages background apps. For anything time-critical, such as medication, it is worth using your own judgement alongside the app rather than relying on it as your only prompt.

How do I turn notifications on?

Make sure notifications are allowed for Walliee in your device settings. On iPhone, under Settings > Notifications > Walliee; on Android, under Settings > Apps > Walliee > Notifications. Reminders and updates won't reach you until this is turned on.

Who can see the events and reminders I create?

Anyone can create a calendar event or a reminder on any plan. What changes between Free and Premium is who else can see it.

On the Free plan, an event or reminder is visible only to the person who created it. Your partner won't see the dentist appointment you added unless they add it themselves.

With Premium, events and reminders are visible across your whole household, you get one shared calendar, and you can assign an event or reminder directly to another caregiver so it shows as theirs to action. For a household with two or more people doing the caring, this is usually the single biggest reason to upgrade.

Statistics & Insights

What statistics does Walliee show me?

Statistics are the charts and summaries behind each tracked activity, covering feeding, sleep, nappies, growth, temperature and more for your child, with equivalent charts for pet activity, feeding and medication. They let you see patterns over time rather than just a list of entries.

On the Free plan you see the last 7 days. Premium adds 14-day, monthly and full-timeline views, along with trends and advanced charts. Growth and temperature are never limited on either plan, and the day-to-day breakdowns for pets, nappies, potty and daily routines stay free too.

What are Insights?

Insights are short, plain-language observations shown on your home screen, generated from the patterns in your own logged data, for example comparing recent feeding or sleep against your child's own recent history. They are meant to help you notice things worth a second look, not to diagnose or predict anything, and they should not replace advice from a healthcare professional.

Subscription

What's the difference between Free and Premium?

On the Free plan there are three limits: you can look back over the last 7 days of history, you can invite one other caregiver, and events and reminders are visible only to whoever created them.

Premium removes all three. You get your full tracking history however far back it goes, up to 50 caregivers, and one shared view of the day that everyone in your household can see and act on. It also adds trends and advanced charts, per-child and per-feature permissions, and PDF export to hand your doctor or vet.

One subscription covers your whole household, so caregivers never need their own. You can see the full comparison and current prices on our pricing page.

Is there a free trial?

There's no free trial, because the Free plan doesn't expire. You can use Walliee for as long as you like without paying anything, and there's no card to enter and no countdown running in the background.

Premium currently has an introductory offer instead: new subscribers get 50% off for their first 12 months.

Who in my household needs to pay?

Just one. A Premium subscription covers the whole household, so caregivers don't need their own individual subscriptions.

What happens after my first 12 months?

The founding member price applies for your first 12 months. After that, your subscription renews at the standard price for your country, which in the UK is £8.99 a month or £89.99 a year.

Prices differ by country, and the App Store or Google Play will show you the exact price for where you are before you pay, and again before each renewal. You can cancel renewal at any time from your store account, and you'll keep Premium until the end of the period you've already paid for.

What happens to my data if I cancel Premium?

Nothing is deleted. All your records and history stay exactly as they are. Premium-only features simply stop showing until you resubscribe, and everything reappears the moment you do.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you purchased. You can view, change or cancel your subscription from your app store account settings at any time. If you cancel, you'll typically keep access to Premium features until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Because Apple and Google do the billing rather than us, we can't cancel a subscription on your behalf.

Exporting Your Data

Can I export my child's or pet's data?

Yes, with Premium. From the Statistics screen you can generate a PDF summary for a single child or pet, covering a date range of up to 90 days per export, with the option to choose which types of records to include.

PDF export is a Premium feature. On the Free plan your records are all still there and nothing is lost, but you can't export them to a file.

Can I export more than 90 days at once?

No, each export covers a maximum of 90 days. For a longer history, generate multiple exports covering different date ranges.

How do I share an export with a doctor or vet?

Once your export is ready, Walliee opens your device's share options so you can send it however you prefer, by email, messaging app, or saving it to your files. Walliee does not send exports by email on your behalf, so it is worth double-checking the file before sharing it, and being mindful that it may contain sensitive information.

Account & Settings

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Go to Settings > Profile (tap the profile icon in the top-right corner) and select Delete Account.

If you have a paid subscription, cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google rather than by Walliee, so deleting your account does not stop the billing and we cannot cancel it for you. It's also worth exporting any records you want to keep before you delete.

If you own a household, we can hand it over to someone else instead of deleting it, so the other caregivers' records stay put. This needs at least one other Household Admin in that household, because ownership can only pass to an existing admin, not to an ordinary caregiver. If you want a household to carry on without you, make someone an admin first: open Manage Circle, choose the caregiver, and select Make Household Admin. Then they'll appear as an option when you delete. Saying no and deleting the household with your account is always allowed, and households with no other admin aren't offered at all.

Your account is then placed in a 30-day soft deletion period, during which you can restore it at any time by signing back in. After the 30 days, your email address, password, profile photo, uploaded images and sign-in identity are permanently deleted, along with any households you own that you haven't handed over, and all the records in them.

One thing is deliberately kept. If you logged entries as a caregiver in a household belonging to someone else, your first and last name stays shown against those entries, marked as an inactive caregiver, so that family's record of who did what remains accurate. Anything you posted in the Community area may also stay visible, under your community username. Our account deletion page explains all of this in full.

How do I reset my password?

On the sign-in screen, tap “Forgot Password” and follow the steps to verify your email and set a new one. You can also change your password from Settings while signed in.

Can I switch between metric and imperial units?

Yes, in Settings you can set your preferred measurement system, which is then used as the default across weight, height and volume entries. You can still adjust the unit for an individual entry if you need to.

Can I customise what shows on my dashboard?

Yes, for each child or pet you can choose which tracking types appear on your dashboard and reorder them to suit how you actually use the app.

Where can I see past notifications?

Settings includes a notification history where you can look back through everything Walliee has sent you. If you're not receiving notifications at all, check that they're allowed for Walliee in your device settings.

Is my data secure?

Walliee uses industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and restricted access to stored data. No system is completely secure, so it's also worth keeping your own account credentials safe and controlling who has access to your device.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is hosted securely with our cloud infrastructure provider, Microsoft Azure. For full details on data processing and storage, see our Privacy Policy in Settings.

Does Walliee sell my data, share it, or use it to train AI?

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it to train AI models. If you submit something in the Community area, like a bug report with a screenshot, it may be automatically screened by an automated moderation tool before being shown to others, purely to help keep that space safe.

Your own tracking records, children, pets and photos are never part of that. They stay private to your household and are not sent to a moderation provider.

Where can I read the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use or medical disclaimer?

All three are available from Settings, at the bottom of the screen. We'd encourage you to read them, particularly the disclaimer, which explains what Walliee is, and isn't, intended for.

Community & Feedback

What is the Community area?

The Community area is where you can submit bug reports and feature requests, see what others have submitted, upvote the ones you'd like prioritised, and follow the conversation in the comments. It's the best way to help shape what we build next.

What you post here is visible to other Walliee users, including any screenshot you attach, shown under a community username rather than your real name. Submissions are automatically screened before they appear, and you can report anything you think breaks the rules.

A wider community space for parents and pet owners is planned but not yet available. In the meantime, please avoid including anything you wouldn't want shared when you submit a report. This area isn't reviewed for medical accuracy, and it should never be used for medical advice or emergencies.
